SOUND OFF: Arkansans Have Mixed Reactions to COVID-19 Vaccine

Sherian Kwanisai becomes the first Arkansan to receive the COVID-19 vaccine Dec. 14, 2020.

The COVID-19 vaccine has officially made it to Arkansas. Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced the first shipments arrived at 8:10 a.m. today and said he expected more throughout the day.

The first round of vaccines are being distributed to health care workers. Arkansas Department of Health Nursing Director Sherian Kwanisai was the first person in the state to receive the vaccine.

Our readers have been sharing their thoughts on if they plan on taking the vaccine when the time comes and why or why not. You can hear a sample at the top of the page, but we want to hear from more of you.

You can record your opinions to our Question of the Month, and we may share some of yours during next week’s roundup.
