2022 Juneteenth Experience

The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission invites you to attend our commemorative program, “Juneteenth the Experience: A Moment in History,” Saturday, June 18, 2022, 10:00 AM, Arkansas State Capitol Steps, 500 Woodlane, Little Rock, Arkansas 72201.

Keynote speaker will be Broadway Joe Booker, a broadcaster for Power 92, who has been recognized for his contributions hosting inaugural Juneteenth Celebrations in Central Arkansas.

The event is free and open to the public. Highlights will include commemorative reflections, artistic presentations by youth performing arts groups, and a theatrical presentation of the events leading up to Juneteenth.

Juneteenth In Da Rock

After the two years of virtual Juneteenth, MTCC is back on historic W. 9th Street, bigger and better with a new look, more space, more events, and more Black excellence!

On June 18, 2022, they will host a day-long event featuring activities, vendors, virtual programs, food and entertainment for all ages.

The annual Juneteenth event boasts over 5000 attendees from across the state, with hundreds of participating vendors, performers, and sponsors. This celebration provides the museum an opportunity to engage the community in the rich history and culture of African Americans.

2022 Juneteenth Arkansas Festival

The 2022 Juneteenth Arkansas Festival will take place on June 18 at 5pm at Interstate Park. The festival will feature a parade, merchants, games, food, music and so much more!
