The EF-3 tornado traveled five miles through multiple communities in Northwest Arkansas.
In the early morning hours of Mar. 30, an EF-3 tornado touched down in Johnson and traveled 5 miles into Springdale uprooting trees, damaging buildings and injuring seven people. The community has come together to support those impacted by the severe weather and a list of resources is available below.

RESOURCES
The American Red Cross has opened a shelter at Journey Church NWA, which is located at 181 S. Mantegani Rd. in Springdale. Individuals needing assistance can call 1-800-Red-Cross.
Cleanup efforts are being coordinated through the Springdale Public Works Department. If you have debris that needs to be hauled off please call 479-756-7712 and staff will schedule the pickup. If you need volunteer assistance with debris clean up, please contact the Neighborhood Services Department at 479-756-7712.

Springdale Parks and Recreation Center
The Springdale Parks and Recreation Center, located at 1906 Cambridge St., has been set up as a temporary response center for those in need of a meal as well as a command center for first responders. For those in need of nonperishable food, clothing or other goods, please go to The Compassion Center located at 3157 W. Sunset Avenue in Springdale. Items will be provided at no cost to anyone in need.
The Treehouse Pantry is providing food bags to Springdale families impacted by the severe weather. Families can pick them up at the Treehouse Pantry located at 802 West Allen Ave. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m through Friday. Families can also call the Springdale School District’s HelpLine at 479-409-5031 to speak with a counselor or social worker.
