Arkansas State University is inviting the public to gather on the front steps of the Lakeport Plantation Home in Lake Village at 12:30 p.m. June 19 for a reading of the Emancipation Proclamation and the Thirteenth Amendment. The Lakeport Plantation Home will be open to visitors for FREE from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information is available here.
