The state’s annual sales tax holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 7 and for the first time, cell phones, laptops, tablets and printers will be included. In addition to these electronic devices, Arkansas shoppers will be exempt from state and local sales or use tax when purchasing certain school supplies, art supplies, instructional materials and clothing.

Items ordered online will also be tax exempt if they are shipped to an Arkansas address. The sales tax holiday weekend ends at 11:59 p.m. Aug. 8.
