Juneteenth in Fort Smith | Celebrate Freedom

The City of Fort Smith, Walmart, University of Arkansas – Fort Smith and Punkin Pictures will host a weekend of Juneteenth Events June 17th and 18th. Events include The Making History Gala at Freedom Farms June 17th at 6:00.
This enchanted evening will include a cocktail hour, dinner prepared by Chef James Thomas (AKA JT) of The Rialto Restaurant who was sought out by The Food Network, live entertainment by local and regional artists as well as celebrity appearances!

The Mayor’s Office has collaborated with Punkin Pictures to create a modern and inspiring version of Lorraine Hansberry’s “A Raisin in the Sun” on June 18th at 7:00pm at the ArcBest Performing Arts Center.
Togetherness and inclusion is a continuous theme for Mayor McGill and his Administration. This shines through when you examine the team of professionals that are working on this production from all over the U.S.
